Low Heat Cement

In massive structures, high heat of hydration may produce cracks.So Low heat cement is made by adding Tri calcium aluminate and silicate in the ordinary portland cement. Its initial and final setting time remains same as that of ordinary portland cement but its rate of gaining strength is very low.
