High Alumina Cement

This type of cement is made where there is a work of chemicals. To avoid the chemical affect on cement, high alumina cement is made. It is a black powder cement and is unaffective by the chemicals such as acids.It is used in Chemical plants. Its initial setting time is 2-3 hours and final setting time is 4-5 hours. It liberates more heat of hydration.So we cannot use it in massive steel structures as crack may appear resulting in collapsing the building.
